Ty Stewart
Vice President
Ty Stewart serves as the Vice President of the Kentwood Public Schools Education Foundation, bringing just under a decade of board service and a deep commitment to the Kentwood community.
With a professional background as a Claim Supervisor for 30 years, including roles with Farmers Insurance and Sedgwick Repair Solutions, Ty leverages his extensive experience in leadership and administration to support the Foundation’s mission. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Indiana Tech.
Ty’s involvement with the district is rooted in his experience as a parent of two KPS graduates who benefited from the district’s academic and athletic programs. He is a vocal advocate for the district’s diversity, believing it uniquely prepares students to navigate and succeed in a global society.
Beyond the board, Ty is a familiar face in the KPS Athletic Department, where he volunteers his time on the football chain gang, as a volleyball announcer, a basketball scorer, and a track volunteer.
A devoted sports fan and a 41-year Indianapolis Colts season ticket holder, Ty also enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Teresa, are the proud parents of two daughters and have six grandchildren.
Ty remains dedicated to ensuring that every student in Kentwood has access to the same high-quality opportunities that helped his own children thrive.
