Jim Swoboda
Past President & Acting Interim Treasurer
Jim Swoboda serves as the Immediate Past President and Acting Interim Treasurer of the Kentwood Public Schools Education Foundation, contributing 16 years of dedicated board service.
A seasoned entrepreneur and the Co-Founder of Junkless Foods Inc., Jim’s 45-year career in the food industry is highlighted by the successful launch of Junkless Chewy Granola Bars, a national brand now available in over 10,000 stores including Walmart, Target, and Meijer.
He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Michigan University and leverages his extensive business expertise to help the Foundation expand its resources for the students and teachers of Kentwood.
Jim’s commitment to the district is deeply personal, as both of his children — Emily (Class of 2009) and Jacob (Class of 2013) — are proud KPS graduates. Now a grandfather of two, Jim continues to give back to the school community as a photographer, volunteering his time to capture district events.
His dedication to service extends beyond education through his work with the Honor Flight Network, which provides veterans with flights to Washington D.C.
Jim has been happily married to his wife for 39 years and remains passionate about sharing his time and talent to ensure the continued growth and success of the Kentwood Public Schools community.
