Jana Hoglund
Director
Jana Hoglund serves as a Director on the Kentwood Public Schools Education Foundation board, bringing over a decade of expertise in educational marketing, admissions, and community engagement. Currently the Client Marketing Manager at Finalsite, a global edtech leader, Jana leverages her professional background to strengthen the Foundation’s outreach and impact. Her prior leadership roles include serving as the Director of Community Engagement for Grand Rapids Christian Schools and Director of Admissions at Grand Rapids Christian High School.
Coming from a family of educators, Jana has a deep-rooted appreciation for the teaching profession and the transformative power of a strong school system. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Aquinas College and an Associate degree from Grand Rapids Community College. Her involvement with the Foundation is fueled by a desire to utilize her skills to support teachers and students, believing that quality public education is the cornerstone of a thriving community.
As a lifelong resident of Kentwood and the parent of a current elementary student, Jana is deeply invested in the district’s success. This personal connection gives her a firsthand perspective on the vital role the Foundation plays in enriching the early educational experiences that shape young learners. She is particularly passionate about Kentwood’s diversity and welcoming spirit, which she believes creates a unique and supportive environment for future generations.
Outside of her professional and board commitments, Jana is an avid sourdough baker and enjoys getting lost in a good book. A fan of her hometown’s natural beauty, she can often be found exploring local parks and nature trails with her family or planning their next travel adventure.
